Hibiscus is the first piece of Edition Two, cut in eucalyptus fibre and held in a deep scarlet all the way through. Sixty are being made — when the sixtieth is sold, the design retires.
The bodice ties at the neck with a soft self-cord. Below it, three tiers of gathered ruffle run across the front, drawn by hand — so no two frocks fall exactly alike. The hem finishes in a single ruffled band, weighted just enough to swing. Cut loose and A-line: room to run in, nothing that pinches.
Sixty pieces: five in each size from one to twelve. Each is numbered by hand on a cotton tag sewn into the side seam, 01 to 60, written by the person who finished it. When the sixtieth is sent, Hibiscus retires. We do not restock it, and we will not bring it back in another colour next season.
Why eucalyptus
Eucalyptus pulp is processed in a closed-loop system where almost all the solvent is recycled and used again. The thread that comes out is silk-like and biodegradable. What matters on a child is what it does next — the fibre is hollow, so air keeps moving rather than sitting against the skin. In forty degrees that is the difference between a dress your child tolerates and one they forget they are wearing.

Care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Do not bleach. Line dry in shade. Warm iron if needed. Eucalyptus holds colour well — it will not fade to pink.
Fit
True to age. The A-line cut allows growing room — if your child is between sizes, take the larger.
